We Want to be Authors Program

We Want to be Authors is a writing project placed in schools by Dee Scallan, Louisiana author of the CrawfishTales series of Moby Pincher Crawfish books. The objective of this phenomenal writing project is to present to children a map for narrative writing which incorporates English, writing, spelling, art, brainstorming, drafting, editing, revising, and publishing to motivate children to become successful, creative writers. This project stirs the imagination and creativity of children and gives them the ability to run with that creativity. This project can link literary to content in math, science, and history. It proves that it is possible for children to become authors.
